About the Program
At ReachPoint Nurse Education Center, we provide a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program along with Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for current CNAs. Located in San Jose, we serve individuals at all stages of their healthcare journey—from beginners to working professionals needing certification renewal.
Our Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP) presents the basics of bedside patient care under the guidelines of federal and state requirements. Participants who successfully complete the course will meet criteria to sit for the state certification examination.
Enrollment Requirements
To enroll, prospective students must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Is at least 16 years of age or older
- Possesses a valid government-issued photo ID (CA ID, Driver's License, Passport, or Permanent Resident Card)
- Possesses a valid Social Security card
- Is willing and able to participate in and pass a health examination, including TB testing and physical exam
- Is willing and able to complete and pass a criminal background clearance
Application Process
- Step 1: Review the program details on our website.
- Step 2: Submit a completed online enrollment application.
- Step 3: Complete a phone interview with our team.
- Step 4: We confirm you meet the minimum enrollment requirements.
- Step 5: Sign the enrollment agreement and pay the $200 nonrefundable registration fee.
- Step 6: Attend a mandatory orientation session and receive your student handbook.
Program Length & Technology Requirements
The program is designed to be completed over 6 weeks for days, 12 weeks for weekends, and 10 weeks for nights. Theory must be completed online, including passing all exams with at least an 80% score, before starting hands-on clinical training.
- Device: a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone capable of accessing the internet
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- A current, supported operating system (Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android)
- Current version of Google Chrome or Safari
- A functioning webcam and microphone
Tuition & Costs
Tuition: $2,000
Tuition covers instruction, hands-on clinical training, and exam prep for the state certification exam.
Additional student costs (not included in tuition):
- Live Scan / Fingerprinting
- TB test or chest X-ray (one-time)
- California State Nurse Assistant Certification Exam
- Health examination
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification
- Stethoscope, medical scrubs, gait belt, blood pressure cuff, and a watch with a second hand
Payment Terms & Refund Policy
Accepted payment methods: credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard), cash, and personal or business checks payable to Reachpoint Nurse Education Center (returned checks incur a $25 fee).
A $200 non-refundable processing fee is due upon enrollment. Full payment is due upon starting the course, unless covered by an approved installment plan or third-party sponsorship. Enrollment is not confirmed until payment is received and processed.
Refund policy: Students may cancel without penalty through the first scheduled class day or the 7th day after enrollment, whichever is later, and receive a full refund minus the $200 registration fee. After that period, withdrawing students receive a prorated refund based on instruction completed. The $200 registration fee and any third-party costs (Live Scan, TB testing, state exam fees) are non-refundable.
